AI Ready Ohio is the first state-level AI Ready state initiative in America and takes Ohioans, Ohio businesses, and Ohio communities from AI Ready to AI Enabled.

The program is a workforce and economic development initiative championed by JobsOhio and the Enterprise Technology Association (ETA), powered by community partners – universities, research institutions, employers, nonprofits, and civic organizations working together across the state. It is designed to prepare Ohio’s workforce for the intelligent economy through AI education, training, and certification pathways. AI Ready Ohio connects Ohio residents, businesses, and communities with no- and low-cost AI training, resources, and support statewide. The intent is to close gaps that employers see emerging, positioning Ohio as a leader for economic growth and opportunity.

You can sign up for AI Ready Ohio, where, after filling out a short form, you will be invited to complete a full profile that includes your role, organization, interests, and any existing AI certifications you would like to attain. From there, you will be matched to programs, jobs, events, and people across Ohio’s AI ecosystem to advance your training.

Ohioans will also have the opportunity to get AI Certified at upcoming AI Week Conferences via live workshop training – for Northwest Ohio, Great Lakes AI Week will be held Nov. 10-12 at Bowling Green State University, The Loft 419, and University of Toledo.

“Investing in AI readiness is an investment in our people,” said Katie Hite, associate director of Findlay-Hancock County Economic Development. “AI Ready Ohio offers communities like Findlay and Hancock County an opportunity to connect education and industry through accessible, practical training that helps local businesses adapt and residents build skills for new career opportunities.”

AI is projected to create $15 trillion in global economic impact by 2030, and Ohio is seizing that opportunity by connecting its diverse economy, infrastructure, and talent pipeline to drive measurable AI adoption. Through its newly defined AI Super Sector, Ohio is leading nationally in AI deployment by accelerating adoption across healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, aerospace, defense, logistics, and more, and by attracting high-growth AI and robotics firms seeking enterprise customers and affordable scale.
