I–75 / County Road 99 Diverging Diamond Prepares the Way for Booming Growth
Construction projects exploded in 2024 along the I-75 / County Road 99 corridor as a new diverging diamond interchange – a catalyst of growth – takes shape. The construction is an exciting result of strategic planning and preparation on the part of Findlay·Hancock County Economic Development, the City of Findlay, Hancock County and other local officials – a culmination of nearly 10 years of foresight.
From leading the charge for the diverging diamond interchange now under construction by the Ohio Department of Transportation, to site and utility planning and preparation, land acquisition, helping to fund housing studies, and more, the FHCED staff worked strategically to create an environment to attract investment.
An updated look at what’s happening:
The Diverging Diamond Interchange
Construction began in June on the new diverging diamond, a redesign of the I-75 / CR 99 interchange that will improve safety and travel efficiency in this rapidly growing area. The $30.8 million upgrade is due for completion in Summer of 2026.
Sheetz Inc.
Construction began in October on a $169 million facility for food preparation, distribution and offices. The 511,704-square-foot facility will supply Sheetz’s convenience stores and is expected to create 700 jobs over the next five years. Located north of CR 99 between CR 230 and CR 212, the Sheetz facility is slated for completion in spring or summer of 2026.

Services include primary care, endocrinology, diabetes management, rheumatology, orthopedics, pediatric rehabilitation, and a range of rehabilitation therapies (physical, occupational, and speech), as well as imaging and laboratory services. Wellness Park will employ about 150 associates and was designed to provide exceptional care in a strategically functional and attractive environment. Appointments in some areas of care are shifting to the 75,000 square foot complex – touted as a convenient and accessible location near I-75 – in December.
