Findlay·Hancock County Economic Development Hires Communications Coordinator

Sarah Mayle, communications coordinator
In 2024, Findlay·Hancock County Economic Development has seen an exciting jump in social media presence, a redesigned newsletter, and improved news output after hiring Sarah Mayle as freelance communications coordinator in June.
“We knew it was time to improve communications with our stakeholders and give a voice to the exciting developments coming from our office,” said Chris Keller, executive director of FHCED. “We are very happy with our progress to date and look forward to refining our communications strategy moving into 2025.”
The office also contracted Josh Randell of Liamer Media, Tiffin, for communications planning and overall design assistance.
The Formula, FHCED’s newsletter, was first distributed in July under its new name and upgraded design to a broadly positive reception. The newsletter features news updates, a monthly business spotlight featuring our partners, and helpful resources. Social media presence has vastly improved since June, with the FHCED LinkedIn page gathering about 350 new followers in the past six months, and the creation of a growing Facebook account.
Mayle is an award-winning journalist, with experience as a newspaper reporter and editor, as well as freelance work writing business, website, leisure and technical pieces. Most recently, she worked at the United Way of Hancock County as volunteer director, where she built the volunteer center into a thriving hub for community service.
